Hey good work on the carvings, you seem to have got the links and the ball in cages down. Have you ever heard of a Welsh Love Spoon? You might be interested in carving one

I've started one, but was way too ambitious on the design. I messed it up fairly early on, so I set it aside. I periodically pick it back up again and work on it a little. I might scrap it and reuse the wood for something else, or else try to simplify the design.

I think it was the Fox one, where you claimed you should never have touched the wood that drove it home. I like your finished product, but I understand your frustration with the process. Still, you wouldn't know if you didn't try.

My mother puts up little faces on the trees in for the local kids to find. It is a kit you can buy. I'd thought about trying to make one myself, and I though about starting with some knots for the eyes.
